Senior Citizens Advice Hits the Road

SNP MSP Christine Grahame in Association with community policing, the fire brigade, Borders Care and Repair Service and Age Concern are to begin a series of senior citizen roadshow events running throughout the Scottish Borders and Penicuik starting next Monday in Galashiels and Selkirk. The Senior Citizens Advice Surgeries are aimed specifically at the older population of the region and will offer people a range of advice, support and information from how to keep your home safe and warm, dealing with debt, entitlement to state benefits through to information on the digital TV switchover amongst other things.

Over the next two weeks the roadshows will also visit Penicuik, Peebles, Walkerburn, Earlston, Lauder, Stow, Broughton, West Linton and Innerleithen. Senior Citizens should check their local press for details of times. Details are also available on Christine's website, www.christinegrahame.com Ms Grahame MSP said:

“This is a new dynamic way to provide accurate information to senior citizens throughout the region and to give them a one-stop-shop for their enquiries.
